I bought this because I tend to get very nostalgic about my years in Medical School. I expected a lot more of that but it was not dissapointing. The plot was a little predictable but yet wasnt totally what I thought would be. I would have loved a lot more of medical stuff. Yet it was a fun, light and quick read. Found it very interesting. It Is a quick read and held my interest. A good short story and hope to read more by J P Howard's.
The story was funny, clever, and surprisingly touching. There was depth to the characters and their relationships. The glimpse into medical school was both humorous and insightful. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
What a puzzling and twisting storyline. I can easily see following these students through their med school years and onward as doctors. Loved it!
I still don't know how to write reviews, I only know what I like and this book was one of them.
Where is "Second Year"?
I enjoyed reading this book and, when it was time to put it down, happily anticipated getting back into it. The plot kept me engaged and entertained - loved the unexpected bits of humor, the puns and the puzzles (very creative.)
The characters are complex & believable and it was a treat to get insight into of the world of medical academia. I look forward to reading more from this author.
